Pre-B firing pin springs
« on: December 03, 2011, 12:08:37 AM »
Does the pre-B CZ 75 use the same firing pin spring that the CZ 75 B uses?  I recently ordered a couple of Wolff spring kits to freshen a couple of new (to me) pistols and the kits say they are for all CZ 75s.  But, the spring is a full size spring (about an inch and a half long) where as the springs I've removed from my pre-B CZ 75s are both short (about 1/2 to 3/4 inch).  I don't recall seeing springs specifically for the early pistols anywhere but then again, was not really looking for them.  I know springs compress with use, but the difference between the two is way more than spring settling would cause.

Thanks,
Tim

Your pre b uses a different spring.

They are listed in the calibration paks on the Wolff site.
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

All three of my ('87, '92, '92) have the shorter spring.  For now, I'm going to clean lube and install what they came with until I can order a new set from CZ.
