Captured recoil spring + Reinforced frame

Hello all , I'm not sure how newsworthy this is going to be. I just spoke with Kip from czusa and he confirmed that all new p07's have the "captured recoil spring and a new fiber reinforced frame" . I just ordered my first CZ and was glad to hear about this.

I would be interested to see the reinforced frame as I just picked up a nearly new po7 and am not sure but it looks to be a little different than the pics I've seen of the earlier models.

I should be getting it on Thursday or Friday . I will try to get some pics of the new Frame and captured recoil setup as well , as I have not seen any posted.

Well I received a good voice mail from the gun store, yup got it earlier than expected. Pics as promised. The new captured recoil spring seems nice  the rod appears solid , not hollow. I appeared to have gotten a pretty fresh serial # 2 . I am not sure what anyone can tell as far as the new frame goes . sorry pics aren't great.

thanks for  the pics.    the frame does not look different to my p07 ser # A575...  but apparantly the difference is in the material used for the frame.

Waspy, thanks for posting the pics! It confirms that I as well picked up a newer one if only based on the beginning of your serial number. Another item of interest to me is the slide stop spring in yours (part number 47) in the manual. This is the spring that used to poke into the side of the frame, but is now shortened although the hole remains in the frame itself. I am sure this was part of the victory over the bulge issue as well. Thanks again!!

Yeah no problem on the pics. OK so I picked up 450 rounds rounds to break in the P07 , and have made 2 range trips . This thing rocks 250 rounds through it ZERO malfunctions, and it makes me look like a pretty good shot too . I like the SA trigger its nice a little creep and a crisp break with a pretty short reset very shootable. The DA is pretty long and not that smooth , although I'm sure it will smooth out with use. No buyers remorse here.

This flat-wound captured recoil spring, is this something new? If so, new as of about what date or year? My '08 had one, purchased direct from CZ Custom so I'm a little confused, again.....

I'm not sure , I had a friend pick one up summer 2010 . His spring was flat same blue color non captured, but I'm not sure on the serial# either. I'm assuming his was sitting around a while.

That's great news. Hopefully I hear back from the Canadian CZ rep soon as to when we might see these updated P-07's up here.
