I was gunna say hi in that other person's thread but ... yeah. Haha..

Anyways, Hello. New to the forum as you can see and hoping to learn bit more than I already know about CZs and other firearms.

I don't have a CZ pistol or any at all. Though, I have fired many different pistols that weren't mine and I have to say, I need my own now. I plan to buy a pistol soon and my boat is floating towards Czech water. I'll looking up and look through old posts before I start asking questions.
Cya around.

Welcome, from Aggieland! (Hope you're not a tea sip! :lol  )

I had never fired anything but BB guns and .22 rifles until April, and during my "Handgun 101" run-up to a CHL class, got to fire a CZ-75, and I was hooked! If you get a chance, I bet you'll be, too!

But, be careful! I started out just wanting a gun for CHL and target shooting in USPSA competitions, and now I'm getting ready for #3!

Again, welcome! These folks will make you feel right at home!

DFW here.

Man, I can't explain it, but I saw a CZ75 Semi-Compact & was "lusting".  I like the looks of it.

I've been contemplating a pistol purchase for quite some time. After some recent events where I wish I had a weapon, but had none available, it's made this contemplation near necessity.

It should also be said that . . .
(A) I've only fired a real weapon once (Beretta x 3 clips)
(B) I've never owned anything larger than a Co2 pellet gun

So, I know ridley scott about butkis. ;)

My mom was a paramedic for 25yrs & wouldn't even allow the Co2 pellet gun. It was thrown out after about a year.

I do know I like what people are saying about CZ & that I'm in love with the 2075 RAMI. I do know what I like & I like the look of it.

So, I take about the last 24hrs of reading all I could find on the RAMI & learning the lingo (IWB? OWB? still) & learning the issues (mag springs/feed ramps/FTF/FTE), but I still don't know what it feels like. I just got back from DFWGun.Com's range. It's 3 mins from work, seems ideal. 10 mins walking around with noone helping me & finally get someone that's put off by me wanting to know more about CZ, I know where I'm not going back.

I could sense his apprehension about CZ "Why are you stuck on  CZ?". Probably store policy since 2 of the first 3 cases were Glock/Sig (probably 30-40ish weapons) & the one and only CZ they had was in the veeeeeeeeery back case. It was a chromed CZ75b with wood handles, looked sharp, but I want a black RAMI 9mm.

Welcome to you, too!

If you check CZ-USA's locater you can see a few dealers in the DFW metroplex! Maybe the next one will have and know more!

I try to have no great bias about guns, I learned on a Glock, and my LEO bro-in-law thinks they hung the moon, but I know most quality weapons are fine examples of engineering and workmanship, and should be reliable, so it really comes down to the intangibles, feel, look, etc. And based on those, and affordability, I went the CZ route!

Good hunting!
