So, I dont really understand the prohibition about "political" discussion, in a subject ( the 2nd amendment) that is and can only be 100% political. Yet I still try and keep what I post within guidelines. But this latest "mass shooting" and the media/anti gun reaction to it...is of such a nature to merit discussion.
We are poised on the brink of very, very bad things. It is too early to cite what proposals are in play, but..c'mon...
The thing that keeps coming back to me, if it is worthy of being said here, is the futility of what anti-gun forces want. Bans on certain firearms, waiting periods, taxes aimed at making guns and ammo unaffordable, the ability to sue manufacturers....none of it is about the preservation of human life, and none of it will help preserve human life. It is all entirely about changing things that anti-gunners dont like, and using tragedies as an excuse.
So, I have a question. At what point is not talking about it, more destructive than talking about it?
Posted with the utmost respect and sincerity. When do we...do more than feel bad about whats going on?
Please forgive me if this violates...whatever, when and where can we discuss our future?
