85B to SAO?
« on: June 28, 2012, 10:19:14 AM »
can the 85B be set up like the 75B with the "flat" adjustable trigger and comp hammer available from the CZ cust shop I keep reading about.

Not familiar with the CZ's (yet) but intend to buy an 85 and was wondering if there are limitations such as this that can't be done on an 85 compared to a 75... make sense?

I'm a 1911 guy, and like the SAO option... plus, I really like that flat, adjustable trigger I seen on the internet!

Thanks!

85b is basically just and ambidextrious version of the 75b, with target sights usually.

so yes it can get all the same mods.

Sure can!  All you have to do is install the new trigger and remove the disconnector from the hammer.  Then adjust the pretravel and over travel and you're good to go!  I HIGHLY recommend the CGW trigger pin and reduced power spring, as long as you have to put a new one in anyway.

The part numbers are:

TR-PIN for the trigger pin

and

RP-TRS for the spring.

It's only $20 and is well worth the investment.
