Said good bye to my CZ P07
« on: July 20, 2012, 01:30:47 PM »
Gun jammed too much on me and wasn't fun to shoot anymore, was going to be my conceal carry and I have no confidence in her anymore. I sold her.. to a pawn shop for 300 :( Maybe I'll get one in a 9 one day.

It's a sad day. Kinda like breaking up with a woman. Like all women, she was perfect at first, then she got too comfortable and sloppy.. the pig came out. But all the good memories resides..

Kinda face palming right now cause I ordered a Sig Sauer 2022 in .40sw.. at the gun shop. They were nice enough to tell me to take the CZ to a pawn shop cause I'll get more. I did, and got a little extra. The price of the 2022 they were charging was about 40$ higher than I saw online. 20$ FFL and it's only 20$ more, but I forgot about tax. So.. 509 became 559$. Vs. 460+20 for FFL. Oh well, they're a good shop.. kinda kicked myself on that one.
The 2022 should be a very fine competitor against the P07. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

Just like a break-up never look back.  If you find you made a mistake maybe your next one won't be a lemon.
So any bets on when the next owner posts up about his new p07 with problems?

Can't really live by 1 rule under 1 vague situation which varies alot (such as breaking up.) I usually try and let my better judgement decide, which I did with this trade off..
I doubt anyone will buy the P07 I sold, they want almost for new price for it, over 399$

2022 is a fine weapon. Another sleeper like CZs. You'll love it. They typically have a better trigger straight out of the box than the high end P series. I frequently carry mine as a duty and off duty pistol.

I just hope that one day you'll finally have a hot and long lasting love affair with a CZ. All the best to you on the new pistol there!

It sucks when a brand new pistol doesn't function like, well, a brand new pistol. I have a FNX40 that had some issues early on that required warranty work. There I was with a $550 gun that not couldn't I use but, since it was out on warranty, didn't even have.

While I love the P-07 I can understand your sentiment. Hopefully the 2022 is everything you hoped your P-07 would have been. I don't have any experience with the 2022 specifically but I don't think you can go wrong with a Sig.

The price of the 2022 got me, and read up on it and liked it, even the styling has it's appeal to me. I haven't given up on CZ, just my p07. Thanks, hopefully the 2022 will do well as my cc. I forgot I had the DPM recoil rod assembly for the p07. Hasn't been used that much, maybe someone on here would want it for cheap.

Try the 9.

I just got back from the range, and my P07 9mm has 600 flawless rounds through it now...but its still relatively new, so I'm hoping something doesn't develop later on. I really like this gun and I believe if you were to give the 9mm a try...you may very well feel the same.

Sorry about your P07 experience. I hate to hear that from anybody on ANY gun.  :-\
