CZ-97 Extended Firing Pins

I received the invoice today.  The new FP's are in heat treating at this moment.  They have already been cut and are finished.  I should take delivery the end of July.  I have several project 97's waiting on this new FP.

Not as much as you would think.  The hammer hook depth and angle are the biggest determinates.  However, the hammer spring does influence the SA pull somewhat.  Unfortunately, a lighter HS will magnify the amount of creep in the trigger/hammer.

Aargh . . . I received a phone call this week, the city/town in NY State where they are being heat treated was hit by a tornado and knocked out the power.  Jeez.  The FP's arrived on July 27 in NY and the normal turn around is 2-3 days. 

On a positive note, the swiss screw machine shop said these were some of the toughest parts they have made in a long time.  They said these S-7 tool steel FP's will probably last forever.  I hope so.

Firing pins shipped today from NY, via UPS.  I should have them middle of next week.
