Loose grip= shooting low?
« on: December 25, 2007, 01:14:43 PM »

My dad and I went shooting christmas eve with my M44 and CZ52. We stood about 10 yards from a bottle on a log but couldn't hit it for anything. I went up to inspect the target, and there was a cluster of neat little holes on the log a foot below the bottle. I tightened up my grip and it hit right on target. Anyone else have this problem? By the way, S&B FMJ yaws really well in a foot of cherry. I dug out a round that split the wood and it was pointing almost straight up, with no deformation. Could've reloaded it and shot it again.

This wasn't the diagnostic target that I was looking for, but this target for right-handed shooters has the same info. It confirms that relaxing the wrist too soon can be one cause for shooting low.
