For those with the Bonsteel hand guards. Do these help with the rapid heat build up? Have a set installed but haven't had time to fire it yet.

Hmm, well its still metal touching hot metal, so all the heat still transfers to them, they do help it cool off faster though, Its like a big heatsink to also dissipate the heat. Never been burned or anything after 6 straight mags, and ive never had anything melt that was mounted on it. Hope that helps, But nothing can be expected to get rid of all that heat these bullets create.

I had expected the heat sinking, but it's actually better than I expected. It also holds my scope rock solid, while the polymer rails let it wander as they got hot. If you're planning on more than 1x, get a set of Al hand guards. Naturally, I recommend the Bonesteel ones, although a friend of mine got an upper from PRI and is happy with it. The NEA guards are good too, from the comments on here.
Liberty, it starts with self ownership. You own you. Everyone owns themself. The essence of freedom and liberty is to allow everyone to pursue THEIR idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happyness. In doing so, they may not violate your right to the same goals. Thus All crime is property crime.
