NEA set.

I think just about everyone has either the NEA set, the new Bonesteel set, or the FAB.

Edited to add: If I misunderstood your question, sorry. I'm running a Magpul AFG II on mine. It's a completely different gun with it on, and it works soooo much better for me. It lets my wrist sit at a much more natural/comfortable angle while shooting.

Fore ARMS or fore GRIPS?

Both our vz-58s have FAB forearms on them, but the 7.62 has a folding vertical FAB fore grip, and the 5.56mm version sports a MagPul AFG-1 angled fore grip.

FAB but I find I have to place it in the forward most position on the rail or mag changes are impossible. It has really helped in terms of not burning my hands!

With the FAB I ran the AFG2. With the Bonesteel, I run without the fore grip because the extra girth of the rails gives such a great grip. Feels more secure than my AFG2 on the FAB, but that is rather subjective.

Doesn't the Bonesteel transfer heat?

Not anywhere near as much as you would think. It is very well ventilated and I have not had any problems like when I was doing a magazine grip without gloves(OUCH burning receiver). I will note that I don't have particularly dainty hands, nor are they caked in callous, but during a rapid fire drill 2 weeks ago(~30rds, 20 of which were rapid strings from various cover) it didn't get much warmer than what the sun did to my mags lying out. most of that hot gas just blows out into the air.
