K2 vs 97B
« on: January 01, 2013, 05:08:20 PM »
Seeing that the price of the SAR K2  .45 is  within 40-60 dollars of the CZ 97b, which way would you go...I know that the magazine capacity is greater for the K2, but given the price difference, quality, and possible resale value, which one would you purchase at this point?

Well, just saw a K2 for $430.00 shipped!  Regardless, is the perceived quality difference of the CZ over the SAR worth the price differential?

As a CZ collector, if I could afford both, I would buy the CZ 97. But I would not hesitate buying a SAR K2, or any SAR handgun for that matter. They are very well built high quality and are used by the Turkish military. And having 5 extra rounds vs the CZ is a big plus IMO. Go to youtube and do a search. You can find several positive reviews for SAR firearms.

I have the SAR K-2  its a fantastic soft shooting 45 acp. The weight makes this one handle easily ,the best feature the 15 round 45 ACP capacity with one in the chamber. I payed $451.00 with free shipping. I like it so much that when I saw additional mags at grabagun for $23.95 each I bought 5 more. I have had the gun and mags about 6 months now ,for the money invested this one is hard to beat. At 25 yards shooting an 8 inch torso steel target it's very hard to miss. For me the grip works better too the 97 b is too big for my hand size. Over all I still prefer CZ but this one is an excellent value and a good shooter- definition of a keeper! Brian /EFR
