A very balanced article on the recent shootings
« on: December 18, 2012, 12:57:34 PM »
This Wall Street Journal article is very balanced and cuts through the anti-gun media BS now filling every outlet. Worth your time to read because it will give you facts to counter the current hysteria.....

This paragraph caught my attention. I have not heard anything on the MSM  about it.

Quote:

At the Clackamas Mall in Oregon last week, an active shooter murdered two people and then saw that a shopper, who had a handgun carry permit, had drawn a gun and was aiming at him. The murderer's next shot was to kill himself.

I'm not surprised that aspect of the story has been largely ignored. After all, guns are bad, mmmkay.

I think just like the budget or deficit, to prevent or reduce violent crimes committed with guns, a balanced approach will be needed.
Parenting, health care, media and some smart gun control. Obviously some gun control is needed, just how much and to who is the question.

That smells like something someone dreamed up... But I can't say for sure.

I read the WSJ web edition each morning. The news is balanced and the editorials (opinion pieces) are first rate. I gave up on mass media and talk radio years ago.
