CZ 612 stock upgrade
« on: March 29, 2013, 11:00:37 AM »
I want to install a Blackhawk SpecOps Gen II stock on my new 612. Has anyone done it, or know if it will fit? It seems like the one for the 870 SHOULD fit, but the bolt on the CZ is larger diameter than the BH bolt. I am sure I could enlarge the BH hole and use my CZ bolt...but I want to know if anyone has done this before spending $180!

I contacted CZ about stocks:

I recently purchased a 612 HC-P and I was wondering if the stocks for the 712 would fit? The stock 612 stock is just a little too long for my liking. It also looks like the Remington 870 stocks might fit. Any help would be appreciated.

I got a reply from Zach Hein:

Sadly, neither fit directly. The 870 stock attaches to the action a bit differently, though with some modification it might be able to be made to work. The 712 stock is very close. If you modified the ALS stock adapter plate a little with a Dremel it would bolt right up.

Even easier would be to purchase the Home Defense stock. It?s ?? or so shorter, if that?s enough to make it comfortable.

I would love to get a 712 ATI stock http://www.atigunstocks.com/cz-tactical-stocks/535-cz-712-12-ga-talon-tactical-six-position-adjustable-shotgun-stock-with-scorpion-recoil-system.html but don't want to spend $120 on something that I have to dremmel and take the chance of screwing up. I have access to an 870 so I'm going to see just how different they are because those stocks are less expensive.
