It depends on the gun size and it depends on the grip. The "gripyness" if I understand the technical term correctly  is just fine on all the grip I have ever had. As you can see I have a few. They aren't tacky, but they arent slippery. The ergonomics is different on each grip. Some people are sensative enough to feel the slightes variation. I don't like skinny grips at all.

What doesn't feel right about the skinny grips? From what I understand, most people like the thickness of the CZ grip, so i'm guessing that's what you mean?

I like those as well. The checker looks good. Wouldn't like them as much if they were smooth, no offense. Thanks for the picture!

Here's Pinky wearing the cocos.  Honestly, the stock grips are the best.  You can't beat 'em.  The customs are pretty, wood or composit.  See what I mean?

My hands are big and skinny grips are too ......well.....skinny. I can aquire my correct grip position much quicker and consistantly with a thicker grip. You can't buy a grip based on feel by reading what others think.

My advice is buy the grips you think look good. If you don't like them sell them on here. You will get most if not all your $$$ back and then get different ones. I have bought a few grips I don't use that are sitting in my safe. I have some grips on some of my guns and others I have given or sold to my shooting frirends. You rarely make out bad on grips if you don't like them someone else will buythem. I have bought more then a few other guys on this sites don't want or don't like anymore grips. The stock rubber grips if thats the ones you have a pretty good grips right on the gun.

Hiya, like the look and feel of wood, and the factory rubber, so a lil bit of a mixed batch. The Shadow, TS factory wood, and Marschal's on the 83. Did have some cocos once that would not stop vibrating loose, and the 83 does a lil when I shoot more than 100 rounds a session. Love the look of some of those marbled smooth grips you guys have, but concerned bout how slick they can get.....be well
