Went to the range Tuesday evening, removed the red dot but left the rail on the Kadet, tried to shoot the challenge targets and didn't do very well, I'm afraid, only scored an 86 and a 76, so I'm sticking with the Ruger targets submitted earlier. Our of practice with the open sights and can't see them very well with the rail in place.
Put the red dot back on and preceeded to shoot 97-96-99-96 for timed and rapid fire then 85 and 84 slow fire at 50. Average 92 for the day with the Kadet with red dot aboard. I think I had enough practice shooting the challenge targets to do well when I finally practiced on the bullseye targets on the timer.
I think I'm done with the open sight targets. Ruger is good. Still prefer the Kadet.
