Recoil spring?

My 40P throws brass all over the place; I have 2 Bersas and they both eject the brass about 4 feet to my right in a neat pile; would changing the spring to a stiffer one help?

A little maybe. I've got a trimmed to fit 22# Wolff spring in mine and it still throws the brass a ways. In my experience many CZs tend to throw the brass, 40Ps might be somewhat worse than the others possibly because the ejector was designed for a 9mm pistol.
The bold type giveth, the fine print taketh away.

Unfortunately guns generally aren't designed to put the brass in a neat little pile at your feet.

If the gun is shooting good, I wouldn't touch anything.

I have an sks that throws the brass about 30 yards (no exaggeration) and a 30 carbine that drops em on your head,so if the brass isn't hitting you  don't worry about it.
