So here is the finished upper hand guard. Looks rather good I think. The rail is mounted very solid with 4 screws. When I used the laser bore sight, the red dot was darn near dead center. Not a bad job for $6.

That's pretty slick.
So how did you keep the top polymer guard
from rocking side to side?
If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting.

Looks nice. For $6?!  Excellent job!   Wow, and here I'm looking at replacing my CSA  hand guards with B&T rails for 450!

Could you post a pic of the inside of the upper, to show the ugly bits?  I would like to see how you mounted the screws/nuts, if possible.  Did you use lock washers or locktite?  Any movement issues?

The post above is opinion, and I am probably totally wrong, so please pardon me if I offend anyone in any way. I am speaking only for myself and just sharing my thoughts, not trying to start an argument with anyone, and if you disagree with anything I have said, I concede your correct.

Check out the comments under my user name on this video (cheapo911) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqAf8iyWCt0

I know someone has mentioned this product before but for the price its not a big investment to give it a shot. And they said they will have an updated version out next week. I'll probably be picking one up in the next few weeks.

It's the stock beaver barf on top. I just drilled holes through it and painted it with high-temp automotive paint. It doesn't rock at all, because the bolts for the rail go through the barf and metal underneath.

It doesn't move at all. My top cover fits the gun very tightly, and the screws for the rail sandwich everything together. There is red Loctite on the screw threads, so it shouldn't ever come loose. There also is a fair bit of room between the nuts underneath and the gas tube. It was the one thing that had me worried, but there's actually more clearance than I thought there would be.
