Hello!
I bought my 612 hc-p back in October and everything has been smooth sailing up until this point. I'm hoping that it's just user error but either way, I would appreciate some insight on my current issue. I bought and installed a mag extension from carlsonchokes.com and was disappointed to find that it was about 1/8 in too short, causing the barrel to have a bit of slack, big no-go. Is it a bad idea for me to just add an o-ring to compensate the gap? I put one on to try it out and it feels solid but not too sure if it would be safe to fire, although I wouldn't see it being an issue as a novice, but I digress. My real issue is that, after installing the tube I've noticed that it doesn't successfully chamber every round (I.e. Sometimes I have to cock it a few times or even tap on the shell until it clicks an extra mm in order to catch on the chambering mechanism). After I noticed the problem I immediately removed the tube and put the stock cap back on, but I still had the problem. Could my problem have something to do with the shells I'm using? I've read that certain shotguns "prefer" specific shells over others but didn't want to make that call without getting help from someone with more experience on this type of issue. please let me know if I left out any important details, I'm still trying to familiarize myself with all the part names and functions. Thank you for any and all help, it is much appreciated.
