Hi all,
I'm a proud owner of a P-07 (though it's a Bud's Blemished special; it's been more reliable than two stamps on tax day.
Today however was different.
After attempting to practice marksmanship with the crap ammo that "had" to be bought at the range;
I knew something wasn't right with constant FTE, FTF today.
The failure to fire was strange in that almost every other trigger pull was resulting in a good fire & eject sequence then after about 6 rounds of that it would FTE with the spent shell being held in place by the extreme tip of the following round.
So it was like this: insert mag-rack slide-aim-squeeze trigger-FIRE-eject-aim-squeeze trigger-FTF(hammer stays back)-squeeze trigger-FIRE. over and over with FTE in between.
So......
Once back home I started to inspect and clean when I noticed the probable cause:
the Trigger Bar Spring(#49) was gone! and the Trigger Bar(Part#9) was free floating inside the Rear insert (#7) instead of the small step riding against the disconnect and being held upwards it had somehow managed to situate itself in front of the disconnect so the little "bend" on the end of the Trigger Bar had nothing to push against when the trigger was being pulled and instead was floating just below where it needed to be until the second trigger pull provided enough friction to raise the bar up enough to do it's job.
I managed to get things back where they belonged (except for the elusive Trigger Bar Spring #49) but after closer inspection; I'm thinking the frame bulge around the insert along with another frame bulge from the Slide Stop Spring (#47) is what caused things to fall out of place to begin with.
Though this P-07 is a Bud's Blemish Special buy I know the quality of workmanship warranty was stated as active and only the quality of appearance was voided but wouldn't the bulges in the frame become an issue with workmanship?
Has anyone here ever had the Trigger Bar Spring go AWOL?
