my stingray c is hard chrome with non adjustable sights.  The sight cut does not accept CZ sights unfortunately as the stock sights are not very good.  However, it's an awful lot of real good gun for the money.

I just bought a Stingray-C from J&G Sales yesterday for $319.  I bought the olive drab model.  I was going to by the chrome one, however, when I looked at the pistol it looked silver/chrome painted.  I currently refinish my own guns and worked as a gunsmith for two years at a local shop in Arizona.  I'm very familiar with the refinishing process.  Anyway, while I was at the shop picking up the Stingray-C I called CIA (the importer) and the customer service rep. said that they were actually painted chrome/silver and not real hard chrome.  At that point I decided to go with the olive drab model.

Thanks, Paul

I can confirm that my Stingray is a Cerakote with fixed sites
My box shows a January 2014 date.
It is a shame I really wanted the wear resistance of the Chrome.

Cerakote is a pretty tough finish.  You may be pleasantly surprised at how it will hold up.
