I'm new here and tried searching the forums, but didn't see an existing discussion of this.
I have a CZ 52 pistol (1953 manufacturer - barrel, frame and slide have matching SN). It has the unfortunate tendency for the extractor pin to work its way up through the slide when the pistol is fired. It needs to be pushed back down to reposition it after only a few rounds (5-8 and it is visibly out of position, by 10 the extractor and spring have been ejected).
Has anyone else dealt with this problem? I now keep a supply of extractor springs and pins, but I am mostly concerned about losing the extractor itself. Not a fun time searching for parts on the range floor. Would it be a good or bad idea to try a small drop of loctite on the topside of the pin?
Thanks!
