XS sight info
« on: June 06, 2014, 01:40:58 PM »
I've seen where many have asked about /commented on XS sights . I found this and thought it may help anyone that was unsure about them . Myself , I love them . Like anything , some love - some hate . But if your on the fence this may help.

I'm in the "some love them" group.  Hadn't seen that video before.

I'm in the "would like to try them" group.  When I was looking for one for a snub, they were nearly impossible to find at the time.  Went with a mepro.

Just pretend this is witty.

They are great for snubbies.

Didn't work for my brain, couldnt balance them easily and the fine compression of the X balancing didn't work as well as "Square" in the "u" for my brain.

I prefer the Trijicon HDs.

I fell into this camp too. I really wanted to like them but I found I struggled too much trying to get the precision I was accustomed to. The lack of a distinct pattern of alignment was too much of a hurdle for me, especially shooting at any distance or on a clock.

I ran an Ameriglo ProGlo front with a plain rear for several years after giving up the the Big Dots - now I typically run a red fiber front with a plain rear on everything. That has proven to be a super fast pairing to pick up while still providing precision for shots at distance.
