SA trigger break
« on: July 22, 2014, 04:48:21 PM »
I've got my P07 configured for SA with safety.

No real complaints about the trigger, except that the break occurs in the last millimeter or two...

I see some companies selling a modified P series trigger with an overtravel stop screw. That would be completely useless on my specific pistol, so I've got to assume it's at the end of the normal spectrum or this trigger modification wouldn't be offered.

Is there anything that can be done (part or otherwise) to change where in the pull the trigger breaks? I'd find it far more comfortable if it broke a bit further forward.

Pardon my lack of knowledge. I've yet to wrap my head around how all the parts interact and their geometry.

Unfortunately, no.  Not at this time.

You can throw on the large backstrap and that will push your hand back just a bit which will force your finger back as well.

Ive kind of gotten used to the fact that my CZ's all require me to use the first joint instead of the pad of my index finger.

Fair enough. If it's normal I'll deal with it.

It's just radically different than my 75B SA... not in a bad way. Just different!

I added some grip tape and the large back strap for the same reason--reach short in SA mode.  And I place my finger crease on the trigger in SA mode.  It is shorter than the SIG P-226 I was shooting before the P-09, which is similar to the P-07.
