DPM Recoil System
« on: July 17, 2007, 02:27:24 PM »
Hello,

I've tried to install the DPM Recoil System on my SP-01. But I can't manage to fit it through the hole for the recoil spring. It simply won't fit. Anyone a tip or trick for me how to install it.

Best regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

You will need to get a new recoil spring, the standard one is tapered at one end to grip onto the plastic guide rod. Would suggest the 11lb one unless shooting +P ammo, 14lb if you are

Hi,

There're 2 springs dilivered with the system. Have also a 11 lbs and a 14 lbs spring from angus. The thing is, that the system seems to be too big to fit in the slide.

Best regards
Andreas

Try to install the guiderod firts, pull it out trough the front of the slide and than the barrel.
That is the way I put my flgr in my CZ 75 SA, might work for you ?

Jeroen,

no way, when the recoil system is in, the barrel won't fit.

I have the DPM recoil reducer in my P-01. It works just as advertised and I love it. If everything doesnt drop right in, send it back. There is no fitting or anything else required. www.theshootersbox.com Is where you ordered it from correct? When I ordered from them it took 6 weeks because they had a mix up in springs and guide rods for the CZ systems. You may have gotten a bad one.

Hi,

now it works for me too. If it won't fit on the barrel, you have to pull the golden spring backwards. Then it fits perfectly. Today I'm going to the range to try it.

Yesterday I shot Fiocchi and Geco 124 grs FMJ. Realy less recoil. You are faster back on the target. Shoots awsome!
