I've asked him to post pictures in this thread and the other he had commented on about his scratches. I don't think we are going to see the "pictures of the scratches".

Am I reading this thread correctly?  OP is complaining about minor 'scratches' on the inside of a frame?

Really??

Not sure. That's why we need pictures. Is it a "scratch" or a "gouge"? Without pictures we may never know.

After 200 and something rounds at the range I went back for cleaning and found a very fine scratch mark in the frame under the recoil spring area. ... I wonder if the recoil spring might be touching the frame somehow during firing and that it will keep scratching this area and would end up with the anti rust coating coming out.

It's a minor scratch on the inside of the frame.  The dude is in dire need of an intervention before he goes too far; eg --

From his description, I don't think it is a major issue, but pictures really would help us know for sure.

As a community, CZCCW asked a legitimate question and we ribbed kinda hard on the guy.  While I don't think he has anything to worry about, our attitudes may have chased someone away from CZ's.  This isn't ARFcom.

james,
I agree to an extent. Keep in mind, he was asked to please share the pictures he took and sent to CZ with us so we could help. He said he would "try". He never did post them. He then decided to post in the SS Guide Rod sticky about his problem again at length, once again with no pictures. This is not someone who doesn't have a camera or the ability to post pictures, he told us he did that exact thing to CZ already. He said CZ was critical in their response to him and he was not happy. This is going to cause even more suspicion. This is the result of his own construct.

CZCCW,
PLEASE post those pics so we can help you figure this out.

Some of us are not as computer literate as others. Some of us regard them as a necessary evil. And at least someone on ARFcom would have warned OP to "pepper his angus".

The OP acknowledged that he expected to be told he had nothing to worry about.  I doubt there's not one among us who's heart rate and blood pressure didn't rise upon seeing that first scratch on the finish.

On the inside of the frame due to the recoil spring compressing??  My heart would not have noticed nor would have my eyes.  This is like worrying about scratches on the inside of a wheel well where the mud hits the car.

Take Care

It could be worse than what we are thinking. There could be an issue, but once again without pictures we will never know.
   And yes I agree Skookum.
I did the same with my first gun. But the OP isn't asking about a scratch in the outside finish, but one internally.

cntry and skookum,
I am the same way, the first external mark kinda bums me out for a hot minute but then after the 3rd, 4th, and 5th I just don't care. I'm actually getting to the point where I think I prefer those bumps and dings to happen sooner rather than later so that I don't have to worry about it hahaha. The polycoat on my CZ is just poop! I can tell you that the rail is starting to show some aluminum from wearing a light (just a fleck or two coming through), the butt of the frame (knocked it) chipped, and I caused a tiny chip in the polycoat behind the decocker when I was putting my pistol back together. Now I just use it like it was meant to be used and love it.

This is amazing that someone would take such a non issue this far.....mind you this is just my opinion. I don't care if its a CZ or a Taurus it would be a non issue for either brand. No fan boy here just a realist. Use your gun and quit trying to find fault that is not there.

I had to read this a few times just to believe this. Unreal!!!

It sounds silly, but I checked the inside of my 75B and P-01, both which have the original guide rod, and there are no scratches at all in there.  Really would like to see a pic.

My PCR has steel showing on the inside of the slide but it was that way when it came.  Mine isn`t from scratches just where the spray application of the coating didn`t cover.  No big deal.  Gun shoots like a laser...every time with my reloads.  Life is good.
