Hey, DanR, get you some Slip2000 EWL. Stuff's slicker than a banana peel in an old cartoon:
https://www.slip2000.com

I wouldn't honestly say it'd beat my old Pre-Model 10, but it certainly beats my 325 hands down for trigger pull. The only things I'm not happy with is sights, grips, and the fact that I waited this long to get a CZ.
I am long winded. Ask me what my favorite gun is, I'll write you a novel. Hell, I have trouble deciding what gun to grab for when the dogs bark at night :o.

Thanks a lot for the info Ciph3r,
I forgot to say the test target was at 45'.
And also, a Python 6", Nytex finish, was to be added to the list.
I have the OEM rubber grips on mine....not bad but I yhink the Loks will be awesome.

I've got the Nickel plated .38 Special version of the Python, with a 8" barrel.

The factory rubber grips are definitely my favorite for shooting; they feel like they just disappear into my hands.

Congrats on the new CZ. I'm getting closer to purchasing my first one too. I love Slip 2000 and use it on all my guns. I'm careful with the finish though because it gets "in" the metal and can change the look.

Thanks rich63 for the link to the factory rubber grips. I've been wanting these bad for my Tristar and I waited several hours before I bought them in respect to the OP. I hope this is OK , I'm still new here.

Congratulations Ciph3r on your SP-01. There's been a lot posted on the grips but not much on your sight question. I have experience with Trijicon HD and Trijicon Bright and Tough sights. Of the two, the Bright and Tough sights worked better for me and had them on my Sig P239, Walther PPPQ and CZ P-01. The Trijicon HD has a large colored front sight (mine was orange) and blacked out rear. Some folks rave about the ease of target acquisition with the HDs. There is nothing wrong with them but I ended up taking them off my Sig P220 because I wanted to standardize my sights on my different pistols.

You may want to check out TruGlo TFX sights. They are fiber optic with tritium inserts and are more robust than the TruGlo TFO sights. I have the TFX sights on 5 pistols including my CZ P-01. They are bright in lighted conditions and light up nicely in the dark. The front sight is long because of the fiber optic rod so you will lose some sight radius with them. That didn't affect my accuracy with my P-01 however. Although these retail for ~$170 they can be found for less than $120.

When it comes to sights there certainly are many options, price points and opinions. Good luck on your research and decision.

It's fine, I've been broke for the past week, bought a couple hundred dollars of christmas presents (Everything from drill bits, to baskets, to vases, and knives.). Just got some more cash, probably gonna order a set from Midway.

Congratulations Ciph3r on your SP-01.

It's actualy a plain 75B model. So out of all these options, would the Meprolite sights be a good choice? They seem highly rated, and are fairly inexpensive.

I just broke 150 rounds with the thing, not a hiccup yet. Groups are getting tighter and tighter.

I think i'm ready for a set of sights, now that I know I like the thing. I've pretty much decided on Mepros by this point, unless anyone has something to say?

Thanks! I called Matt Mink at Automatic Accuracy in Conway, AR to pay for the grips. He said he had a lot of CZ stuff and to call him direct for parts. 501-336-0474 I imagine he has some more of the same grips. I've since ordered a set of sights from him too.

Thanks for the info, MikeLW. Might look into it.

The gun has officialy fired it's first handloads, and grouped around the size of a Reese's Peanut butter cup (Weird measurement, I know.) at 15 yards.

Tomorrow, I'm going away for a while, so I won't get to shoot it much, but i'm excited to see what I can do once I improve the sights and grips.

Clearly I was mistaken. My apologies and you still have a superb pistol. Meprolite makes good sights also. I have their adjustable sights on one of my Sig exchange kits. I don't have any experience with them on a CZ however so I'll have to defer to others who do have that experience. Good luck with your sight purchase.
