ALFA-PROJ 3514 revolver
« on: October 06, 2014, 04:29:22 PM »
Had a short but fun shoot with an Alfa-Proj 4 inch barrel, .357 Magnum. Put 20 rounds of Sellier-Bellot .38 Special through it with most of them from DA.The DA trigger was smooth and didn't feel heavy. The range-shop instructor said it has a 4 kilo DA trigger weight. The build and appearance looked good and it also felt very good in the hand. It shot nicely after putting a few rounds down range to get used to the trigger and grip. Very pleasant to shoot .38 Special from the all steel frame. Range was 10 meters. Made in Brno, CR. Sorry but not the best lighting for photos from a mobile device.

Thanks for the report. I've been looking at the Alfa Proj revolvers on the CzechPoint site. They seem like a good deal. I'd love to see more comments and opinions from any other Alfa owners as well.

I actually bought one from Czechpoint a couple years ago. But then back tracked later that day or the next and asked to cancel. They obliged. In the end, the unknown track record wasn't satisfactory to me. I did a lot of searching and could find barely any information on durability and reliability. The only real information I found was on here. One person bought one and had trouble with the blue finish, melting or something right away. No harsh cleaner was used.

Truth be told I'm not a much of a fan of the bluing look on the guns sold by Czechpoint. That and the Czechpoint logo on the gun is a bit of a turn off. Too guady for me.

Dobr? den, Den (I've been wanting to say that for quite a while) -

.....in the Czech targets, it shows the perp running away with the hostage so the perp is closer to the shooter and it's quite legal to shoot the perp in the back. Thanks for the great Tuesday early morning laugh over here. Actually, I was sharing the target with a friend so someone had to do the dirty deed. :D

Thats a nice revolver. And a good indoor range as well. I know someone with same brand of revolver but 6" and in .32S&W Long. It shoots one inch groups at 25mtrs (27.5 yards) all day, in the right hands. I am looking for one myself too these days!
