VZ2000 Duracoat is the closest to the blue gray, but several versions of gray have been used on mags over the years from a gunmetal gray to an almost charcoal gray...  Appear to be semi-gloss to gloss in finish...  Typically gloss/enamel finishes are more durable than flat finishes.

Thanks, but I have neither the time or patience to buy all the equipment that goes with it! I do know there were at least 5 variations of Grays used, which some look like a whole different color which did surprise me looking at the color variations on my mags s from different yrs.

What I was wondering about using is a certain type of Krylon in a can!

There are duracoat shake and spray kits.

But my point was to pick any gray.  http://www.krylon.com/spray-paint-color-center/colors/gray-spray-paint/
But pick something semi-gloss to satin and darker than the gray primer sealer in top right to match OE.
Avoid metallic colors.  Can go w/ a matte or flat for a tactical look with minimal shine, but that'll be less accurate than semi to full gloss.

I believe the mag paint used is similar to the polycoat finish used on CZ handguns -- which closest facsimile for US consumer is probably duracoat...
