To CZ 455 Precision Trainer or Tacticool...
« on: March 25, 2015, 06:51:36 PM »
Hard decision...is it worth an extra $350.00 for an extra 4 inches of heavier barrel and stock or spend less on a SR version and a painted stock...

Feedback would be great...

I picked up a precision trainer last week from Buds. It's my 1st 455, have 4 Cz 452. Mounted a SWFA 16x42 tactical scope with BKL low double strap rings. Wasn't really impressed with the accuracy at first. First 150 round couldn't get a group under a half inch at 50 yards.  But then things improved and was able to get 3 groups in .39-.42 . Looking forward to the weekend to give it another try. Used Sk match, and wolf, gonna try geco .  I will say the trigger was not good. Put in a yo Dave kit , Lightest spring, red shim, now no creep and breaks at 2.25 lbs. The manners stock is awesome if your into the  tactical thing. Really well made, feels strong yet very light, massive grip. Plus there is the Lilja  barrel upgrade but that is available with any 455. If I had to do it over? Ya I would. It's cool and has potential. I don't have a tacticool so it's hard to comment on that. In perfect world a heavy barreled 452 american in a manners stock would be killer. I won't be buying another 455, but I am glad I have this 455. Very fun to shoot .
