High Capacity .22 Magazines
« on: December 01, 2014, 11:45:29 AM »
High capacity .22 magazines do exist. Kel-tec's PMR30 in .22WMR has 30 round mags and Walther makes a 20 round .22 mag for the Uzi. The PMR30 is priced, on the street, a hundred bucks or more over the MSRP of $415. The spare mags are reasonable though.

Greg Cote has the Uzi mags also at a reasonable price.

It would be nice if MecGar would get involved in this market. I would wager that a huge majority of Kadet owners would want at least one.

Joe,
I agree, MecGar would be a good option as a builder of high capacity mags for us.

I have only seen large capacity mags for .22 for rifles, but I also concur if MecGar would make them for pistols.

If someone can find out how many Kadets as kits or complete pistols have been sold and general yearly sales to give a general scale for the market. The forum could contact MecGar to see if there are enough potential sales to be worth doing the dies and things to make hicap mags for us. If the setup cost is not to bad, a run every now and then could sell a bunch. Who has a Kadet that won't buy a couple. I would buy 4 immediately.

A staggered mag would really super. Not sure that can be done with .22.

USCCA has an informative article on "High capacity mags".
