SP-01 Mag Brake
« on: June 29, 2006, 06:08:47 PM »
Does the SP-01 have the curved mag brake like a regular CZ (75B, 97B) or does it come with the flat brake? Does it take the same mag brake as the regular 75B?

I was going to order a couple from CZ (flat brakes) and figured I'd throw in an extra, since I'm sure I'm going to break down and buy an SP-01 soon. No sense paying the shipping on an extra order later on.

Thanks,
Jim

The SP-01 comes with a drop free mag break.  You don't need to order extras as they are not prone to breaking and if your other gun have the retention mag breaks just remove the curve in them by straightening them.

Jim -

Thanks for the info.

I haven't had much success getting the mag brakes in my CZ 75 and CZ 97 straightened. I've removed them both, but they still bind up enough to keep the mags from dropping free. Before I break one, I figured I would go ahead and just get the straight brake and install it.

Nice to hear the SP-01 won't have that problem!
