Thanks for the update and congrats on the HK. That is a beautiful trio and great job on the photos.

Hello tenfourk,

Unless I missed them, how come we haven't seen any photos of your new CZ83 pistol?  It was my understanding you were to have received it many weeks back, no?

Haha! Yes you are right I did get mine, in beautiful shape.  I haven't gotten out with it more than once
Unfortunately. I am going to take a family portrait and post it. You've given me the motivation. I'd like to be putting some attention into my guns, but instead I keep buying more. I got an 85c, 40b, and most recently a 75 duo tone in .40. I see there is another 83 in 7.65 just put up on GB for $800.    :o

My latest acquisition to my 7.65mm/.32ACP stable of handguns, is a Beretta 81B.  She is approximately the same size as my CZ-83 (as can be seen in several of the photos below). . . and her magazines are essentially the same size as well, yet they were designed to only hold 12 rounds.  Anyway, the modified LULA speed loader works with these Beretta 81 magazines just perfectly.

The only change or modification that I had performed to her, was to have her fixed front sight blade face milled to accept a very small white bead, and epoxied into place.  It makes acquiring the front sight so much easier!

Hope you like the pics.  ;)

The following two photos are of the Beretta 81 mag (at top/right) compared to the CZ-83 mag (at bottom/left):

Great work all around Gary, photography is top notch. I just acquired an 83 in 380, and just have to ask, where'd you get the fiber optic sight?

Really like the HK too. I'm trying hard not to get an 82, and telling myself the 7.65 is just too little for my fingers to reload so I don't go there!

I was looking at walnut grips for the 83, and really like the relief you made for the mag release. I was going to email them and ask if they could lower the thumb rest, but I'll try what you've done. Oil finish is easy to 'match'.

Thanks for posting your great work! Appreciated.

Thank you for the kind words Steve.

You can acquire the fiber optic sight (in either red or green) via Midway USA, and I'm sure it can be located via other online venders:

Or, you can procure the fiber optic front sight for almost half the price which Midway USA sells it for, by acquiring it from ManVenture Outpost: http://www.manventureoutpost.com/products/Hi%252dViz-Sight-CZ75%7B47%7D85-Green-Front-Only-CZ2005%252dG.html

Question on the grips...how do they affect the overall thickness of the grip?  Love your mod on the grip, it makes a lot of sense, mag release is a bit shrouded on my factory grips as well that's why I'm asking about grip thickness.
