Joey, the captured spring guide rod (on mine at least) had a larger diameter at the end than did the original guide rod.

I had to open up the end of the slide a bit to get the captured recoil spring guide to fit/work.  My P09 had a captured recoil spring guide rod (as do some of my other handguns) and I wanted the P07 to be similar.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

just a light + mag extension, I don't think it needs anything else as I don't carry my p07 or shoot competitively.
