...mag pouch...?
« on: February 07, 2015, 11:03:49 AM »
I'm told the factory provided one is...lacking... Anyone have experience with a good one? I might be using this puppy for bunny busting, and would want to keep at least one mag of "good" stuff in case of bad times.

I want to be able to carry 4 mags with these things. TT stuff is good from what I have used in the past.

snakeye, no worries, I don't need someone in a leotard. :)

No experience with them yet, but I'm leaning towards the HSGI Tacos

or extended taco http://www.highspeedgear.com/hsgi/ex-ptaco-11EX00.html

assuming that you guys acquire these mag pouches, could you report how well they fit Evo 30 round magazines?

Tactical Tailor, Shooting Systems and many others make excellent quality pouches.

The one on the CZ store is not lacking for how much you pay its thick canvas polyester made in CZ with a button in the middle of the Velcro can be used with a Molle type system or belt stitching seams good the only down side is with the 30rnd mags they fit but you will not come close to buttoning or securing the mag pouch it was clearly designed for the 20 rnd mags. Which considering I just got my 4 30s in the mail it will make a nice home for the 20s

I would think either PPS, mp5, or 10/22 BX25 mag pouches would be roughly the same dimensions if anyone has some to compare sizes.  Stick mags w/o curves pouches might work too -- colt 9mm, mat 49 (some great quality mat 49 pouches at great prices out there on surplus market), glock 33 rounders, and uzi come to mind there...

I'll have to go back to On Sight and see what they have. They cater to the "tactical" crowd a bit more than the pawn shop does.

Dagnabbit, I just ordered that exact case...for $5 more. Oh well, hope someone can use the info! I'll put up a review of the thing when I get it. :)
