How long must I wait!?
« on: April 24, 2006, 09:45:57 AM »
I ordered my SP-01 Tactical from my local gunshop on 4/1, which, being a Saturday, meant their order to CZ USA went out the next Monday, 4/3.

It's now 3 weeks, and my first weapon purchase is still not consummated! Waaaahhhh! :(

How long have people been waiting to get these sweethearts?

Thanks!
Bill

I bought one out of dealer stock today.  It was the only one he had.  It had been in stock for three weeks.  I guess I just got lucky.  Is your dealer ordering direct from CZ USA or from a distributor.  Perhaps he could check with several distributors.

I know when I czeched with my local dealer on the availability of the CZ SP-01 Tactical, his distrubutor told him "they weren't available yet".

Went to another local dealer and bought one from his stock.  He had two.  :)

Thanks for the replies.... this is what I get for being:

a) a total n00b
b) a small-town resident
3) Impatient

If I'd known there was going to be such a delay (and my dealer has been awesome, just out of luck about stock), I'd have driven the 120 mi to the Big City down the road and hit the multitude of shops there...

I think if it's not in by the time I get back from my 2 week vacation/moving duties, maybe I'll do just that and cancel locally.

*sigh*

I've got an SP-01 Tactical sitting at my dealer that someone else backed out on.  Interested?

Matt,

If I buy an SP01 from a local who is trying to get me to buy it, and I change the mainspring for now only, how much of a difference will it make in the weight and smoothness/grit in the trigger. The gun is basically new, factory.

Thanx,

Kevin

Woo-hoo! The wait is over, almost!

Got the call yesterday from My Friendly Neighbourhood Gun Shoppe that my SP-01 is in!

Now I just have to clear away all this "personal" stuff so I can go pick it up and maybe even run a few rounds through it!

One happier camper,

I got it NIB.... and still haven't gotten to shoot it yet! :'(

(I did, however, score a decent deal on some WWB 115Gr ammo from Wal-Mart, plus a box of 124Gr FMJ and 147Gr JHP.)

Oh yeah, I have cleaned and oiled it (twice! lol!).

Whoopee! Finally got to put some time it at the range!

I'm still suffering a head cold, but even so, practicing a few of the things in Brian Enos book, "Practical Shooting," got me a couple of bullseyes at 45'!

I also played with 115, 124 and 147 gr ammo, and I seem to do better with the 124. But, I have a LOT of practice to do, so we'll see!

Ohboyohboyohboy!
