Is the SP01 Shadow legal for USPSA Production yet? or should I get the SP01 and have the extras done to it?

Opinions, Angus, Matt and everyone else??

There is a line on the gun list for productions saying they are concidering the Shadow for production.  That would lead me to believe it is not currectly accepted.  Of course at a local match noone will likely care.

One other interesting note.  The CZ-USA shadow and the CZUB websights have, or had cant find it now, different pistols.  They look the same with all the same additions, except the UB version does not have the same firing pin block, the slide is similar to the 85-Combat but with the profile of the SP-01.

I just got two modified SP01's from Angus and they are outstanding.  In reality I actually prefer the rubber grips over the wood anyway and I do not have to worry about the shooting bureaucrats who cannot decide why or why not "Gun A" with modifications is legal and "Gun B" that ships with the mods already done is not.

I'm right there with you.  I got to shot one of Angus' guns last year at Area 6 (where I fought with my LDA all weekend) and was immediately sold.  All I need now is my holster from Blade-Tech (I shoot with the wrong hand...) and I am off to the races.  There seems to be a lot of people interested in these things.  The Nationals may be very interesting this year.  The Glocks may have their hands full!

I got lucky and sold one of my 38 Super STI's.  Had enough to get two SP-01's, 12 more mags, and a bunch of powder and bullets.  That should hold me off until I can sell something else!
