It turns out to be a bit worse than I thought... I went shopping on-line and found an SP-01 for a really good price. 446$ + 25 $ for shipping. I called several dealers that are within L.A city limits,and asked them about recieving on-line transfer. NONE will do it. Soooo...I started calling dealers on the outskirts of city limits.Found a couple within moderate driving distance(35~50 mi.) and behold,they'll be happy to make transfer for 130~150$  !!!!  Its no wonder all the BAD guys have guns!!! In any case it all comes down to how much I'm willing to pay,I guess. To say I'm disappointed would be a gross understatement. Such is life in the Republik. Jason,thanks again.      JIM      >:

Come one guys, there has to be someone in nucz's vicinity that knows an FFL that is reasonable.  

It seems there should be one smart gun dealer in that whole area that realizes that 600 transfers at $20 a pop is better than zero transfers at $150.

Thanks a LOT,mikeg22. I may have found just what the doctor ordered. I am waiting for reply from someone who can take care of me for about half of what those other guys want. We'll see what happens now. I have more options than I originally thought. More resources are a good thing !!  Thanks Again.    Jim
