Want to change to the Thin Safety Sets for my Shadow SP-01. Keep rolling on the safety with the wide one I have now. The CZ site says has to be fitted? How tough a job. Got so basic gun smithing skills, can a rookie take this on? hate to have gun at Custom Shop this time of year?
Great reference picture Stuart, i will save it for future use.
I recently fitted a "D" style paddle safety for my SP-01. It required that i remove a bit from the flat of the "D" and it needed the ledge where the "D" transitions to round backed up a bit so it could be fully inserted into the right side.
Although i do not consider it a hard or complicated task it can take some time. If you decide to take on the job yourself and run into trouble, make a post in the Gunsmithing section, i am sure allot of other folks around here have fitted them.
The main thing to remember is to go slowly bit by bit with testing in-between. While taking metal off is easy, putting it back on can be tough.
