any progress on americanizing 452 saftey

i really dont mind the unamerican saftey direction but will be training youngster to shoot someday and would like a consistent safety direction forward to fire like most

any one making a brno side to side replacement

plan to use a 452 scout with weaver 4x28 and low talley cz rings which all work well for me

No other options for replacing and reversing, than just practice..........

Hello, newbie here. 

I have a 452 FS and a 452 scout.  I too would prefer a reverse of the safety on/off positions but at this point doing so would be a nightmare for CZ.   

I see the only way for them to make a change is with an all new model.  Otherwise a change in type of safety, ie move it to the receiver side or worse the trigger guard. 

My have lots of styles of safeties to deal with so I kind of review for myself before a hunting or range trip.   FN, winchester, and ruger 77/22 are all the same, CZ is opposite, Remingtons are on the right.  Actually I like the Remingtion safety on the side.  It's much quicker than a 3 position IMHO.  The upside with the 3 position is it requires a much more deliberate operation.

Hey at least they're not a wing on the back of the cocking knob/bolt like the old 54's and Mausers.

Both my kids learned to shoot with a Scout. One of the first safety lessons was how to use the Gun you have in your hand: how to check the chamber, load, clear, engage the safety and to find out before you use the gun if you don't know. Since there is no Standard safety operation, "American" or otherwise, it's a valuable lesson.

I have read that a replacement was once available. Besides how hard would it be to put the wing inthe left side of a solid saftey lever and effectivly reverse it?
Puting it on the left might be a slicker saftey position anyway.
Isnt forward on the right side of a circle back on the left side of the circle?

I do hold CZ's in very high reguard and buy little else.
