Simply Rugged Holsters Cuba vs Defcon 3
« on: May 05, 2015, 10:39:34 AM »
Does anyone have any experience with these? I am looking for a decent leather holster and these have caught my eye.

Any other suggestions would be welcome,  primarily interested in IWB for a  85C.

I have a Defcon 3 and it's an outstanding holster. Rob does great work and has excellent customer service.

Thanks for the reply. I like the Defcon 3 but not sure if I want the extra thickness of a non collapsible holster mouth.

Also came across Privateer leather, and I like their designs as well.

I don't find it to be truly non collapsible, but it is stiffer and a touch thicker at the mouth than the Cuda. I had a Cuda in the past but let it go with the gun it was made for, I think there is no noticed difference in thickness while in use.

I had a Cuda and several different pancake holsters from Simply Rugged. They make a pretty good, heavy duty holster. They are not boned or shaped very much at all.

I personally like the holsters from Lobo Gun Leather much better. They are usually less expensive and look real nice too.

Just another option to check out.
