PO-7 15 or 16 round?
« on: June 20, 2015, 05:43:04 PM »
I searched the forum and did not find an answer to this: Which is the newer, the 15 or the 16?  And specifically,
does one rattle less than the other?  I want to order more mags and want to get the right one.

Thanks,

John

The 15 round mag is the newer part and is the one shipped with all new P-07's where hi-cap mags are legal. The P-07 will function with any of the 10,15, or 16 round mags designed for it. Specifically what do you mean by the rattle question?

Some mags are known to rattle when loaded.  My RAMI 9mm sounds like a baby rattle when I walk around with it.

I'm currently using the 15 rounders in mine and they don't have the rattle you're talking about but I can tell you I have some 16 rounders that do rattle a bit when topped off and inserted into the gun.

My 15 round magazines rattle when they're full. They don't rattle with 10-13 rounds in them... My SP-01 mags all rattle too.

If your magazine is full and rattles, try smacking it on the bottom,  or lower side. I used to have the same issue with certain 1911 magazines until I found this. Of course it won't last forever so you will have to do it again eventually.  :D

yeah, if they rattle, smack'em. That's what I do with snakes too!
