I finally ordered a gun/rifle vise. The tool slips are taking a toll on the firearms and my hands. Being the cheap bastard I am, I got the Tipton Best Gun Vise. It's mostly plastic. Would appreciate it if anyone can recommend how to make it a more sturdy platform.....maybe how best to clamp it down to a work bench? What other basic tools should I get, gun specific, I do have handy man's tools but they don't work quite that well with gun requirements. I did read a few threads down and that's helpful, any additions would be great. Thanks.
