Slide falls without hitting stop
« on: October 31, 2015, 12:19:34 AM »
My SP-01 is prone to going into battery when slamming a new mag in after running dry. Is this pretty common with a lot of CZ's? I always thought it was pretty handy when competing, but the other night it happened before the mag was fully seated and it didn't strip the top round. Kind of a bummer since I lost 1st place by less than 3 seconds.

Is there a way to insure this doesn't happen? I never can tell weather I will have to hit the slide release or not.

Several threads discuss this with many brands of pistols.
I like the slide to release,  but never read of one releasing 'before' the mag hit the battery rail--fully in.
I'd try to make that happen again at home and see if you were pushing the mag release or what the heck caused the slide to let go. ???
A couple of years back,  I accidently released a mag at a match with my weak hand.
