CZ Compact PCR new sights?
« on: September 25, 2015, 12:36:08 PM »
I am 78 and some of my favorite organs don't work right anymore. (You laughed? Be patient!) I just got the CZ 75 Compact PCR and am so very pleased. I have shot my Beretta 92FS for years and recently bought the CZ compact as the brand was new to me. My eyes have implants and I have trouble seeing the sights as the white color is dim, the dots small, and I only shoot indoors now. I am dependent upon the light used indoors. I see that the sights can be upgraded and would welcome any suggestions. I don't plan to carry it, but a easy of draw would be a thought. Many Thanks in advance.

Being I am only 74.  I replaced mine with the True Dot, the same ones that CZ uses for the night sights.  The dots are much bigger than the ones that came on the weapon.  In the dark they shine like three beacons, easily found on the night stand.

True Glow also makes some sight for the PCR.   I have friends who swear by them and the are very bright in low light.  However they are larger than the True Dot.

There are some pretty bright green nights sights out there. We are in thee middle of a discussion on another thread about the Truglo TFX for the CZ75.  The guys front sight don't seem to be fitting quite right. You may want to do a follow up on the pending results before you plop down $120 to $160 for a set. Midway has a nice set of green fiberoptics for $160, but there again, I don't know how they fit?   Kinda a pig inna polk.

I put TFX on my pcr and like them.  But if the night sight thing is not important some of the more open fiber optic ones might be brighter.

There is a thread that I posted some pics of the TFX sights.  I do like them. I shooting friend that is a little older and doesent have the greatest hand strength likes them because they provide more meat on the slide to grab while cocking it.

Does your TFX front have a gap between the sight and slide?   Another CZ member just weighed in and said all TFX sights shoot 3 to 4 inches low. It appears its because the front sight is way too high.  here is a link to the thread.

EDIT,   I did FINALLY receive my new Truglo's. The darn post office NEVER scanned the tracking number in..   GO figure.   But they did arrive unannounced and in tack. But just late for what ever reason the post office has.

You can open a complaint about non delivery. You still have a chance to get your money back if you didn't receive the item.
