CZ and the New Year, What do you guys hope to see?
« on: December 15, 2015, 09:20:18 PM »
I'd really like to see the full Bren parts inventory available for order! Like various barrel lengths, stocks, magazine configurations, caliber conversions and compliance parts. CZ has put most of the basic wear parts on the website now, but I'd really like to see it fully fleshed out with the items listed (and reasonably priced). I'd also like to see some sample 805 rifles farmed out to no joke, hard core competitors/users and some of the you tube noise makers to abuse long term. I think CZ has a winner that could stand a little more refining and I'd like to see that done taking into account the Chech Mil experience for we civi's also. I also hope they (CZ) consider those who've made the initial investment in this rifle and plan upgrades to the basic 805 instead of just building something completely new and expecting early adopters to yet again step up. I'm excited because CZ seems to be attempting to provide "me" with exciting new designs that are both innovative and functional in real life, not just the appearance of a combat design.

Different barrel lengths would certainly be beneficial for someone who ends up buying the rifle version and decides down the road to SBR.  I just want to see a price drop lol.

A good reference point is the FN rifle for price. The SCAR 16 is $2200.00. The price of the Bren might move some from its $1500ish point but I don't suspect it'll go bargain basement.

I'd like to see the BREN in 7.72x39mm and 6.5mm Grendel. More over, I'd just like to see one on the shelf at my local gun shop! :) I'd love to have one "farmed out" to me, but the chance of that happening is likely to be close to zero.

You can convert a pistol to rifle generally with no ATF paperwork, rifle to pistol is a little more involved. As to price, I do suspect it will decrease a frazz bit more, then start to climb as its positive attributes become more common knowledge.

AM -- you have a youtube acc't with vids and moderate this forum...  Surely CZ-USA would be willing to at least add you to the bottom of their T&E/review list!

I thought this was posted here, but the version currently out in pistol form is already outdated.  CZ has released at least the specs on the Bren 806: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/10/12/cz-announces-cz-806-bren-2-improved-modular-assault-rifle/

*Truth about guns also did an article last week or the week before on CZ-USA's 2016 offerings as well. LOTS of cool stuff there.

Actually, no - I don't have enough followers on YouTube and running this little corner of the Internet doesn't make me much of a celebrity, not really. :) The BREN 805 will be in high demand, and the freebies will go to where they can get the most exposure and high quality reviews, like Colin Noir, Truth About Guns, Guns and Ammo, Military Arms Channel, etc. Maybe I can get a discount on one about 2017. ;)
Not sour grapes, just the truth - companies have to spend marketing dollars where they are best used. That is one reason I love it when CZ employees take the time to post here, because they can share pictures and insights I can't until I can acquire one.  ;)

Thanks for the info RSR I wasn't aware of the info you provided! My understanding is the 806(?) is more design study than product. I guess we'll see though...
