They should work fine together. Tried it for awhile but I didn't need a compact with a long barrel. I like the compact with a full size grip and extra rounds once in a while but I satisfy my needs with a fullsize mag and a grip spacer. It's like being married with a girl on the side, but your wife won't shoot you if she finds out.
