Fisrts of all thanks in advance to all those that take the time to read this and help me out. OK, I have a Czechpoint 58 I received back in 2012. I recently purchased a B&T rail and the thing just does not fit. The rear of the lower half of the rail doesn't quite clear the receiver and the cross bars the fasten the lower rail to barrel? doesn't sit flush against the body of the mating area of the rail. I now have some scars on the lower rail and am now afraid RTG where I purchased the rail won't accept the return.
I contacted Robert at RTG and he responded with some questions. I answered the questions and am now waiting for another response. I also contacted Dan at Czechpoint asking him some details about the barrel and receiver used if its in any way traceable to try and find out if there is a way I can make this work.
I love the look of those B&T rails but for the price and the hassle I'm questioning if I even want to keep this rifle. I've added a FAB metal joint recoil shock stock and a few other small things and absolutely love this rifle. But trying to make this rifle the way I want is proving more hassle than its worth. So please some one help me keep my rifle! Thanks for reading.
