Witness noob question.
« on: February 07, 2016, 07:57:30 PM »
Just bought my full  size steel witness large frame and noticed that it has a really heavy trigger pull in DA. I was wondering if there were any aftermarket parts or mods that could lighten it a bit? Would a trigger job by a gunsmith help? I also saw where EAA has this http://eaacorp.com/gun_accessories/index.php/parts/tanfoglio/witness/trigger/da-sa-trigger-w-overstop-102014.html trigger listed with over travel stop. Has anyone ever used it or is it even useful/necessary? BTW Ive got the 9mm. Didn't realize conversion kits went up to $400 :/

I have a small frame witness that had a very heavy double action trigger out of the box. I experimented with some lighter hammer springs from Wolff, but what really cured it for me was to replace the stock Tanfoglio hammer spring with a wolf hammer spring of the stock weight.
Just a guess, but I think sometimes they may get the hammer springs mixed up at the factory.

Very interesting will definitely look into that. Thank you.

My 10mm steel Witness has an awesome DA trigger, never measured it but its the nicest out of my pistols. My PS 9 on the other hand is OK.
