Wood grips for sweaty hands

I've unfortunately been blessed with super sweaty hands. Whenever I play console games, the controller gets super sweaty. Whenever I go bowling, my hands get super sweaty.

I've heard the stock plastic grips are horrendous and should be replaced ASAP. I really love the look of the wood cocobolo grips, but I'm worried that they will get too slick with my hands.

Does the checkering help enough that sweat won't be an issue? Or should I just stick to aluminum and rubber grips?

I had a pair of the Cocobolo grips and they are really nice looking but if I remember right they are a little slick.

Is this gun for carry or just range use. If just range than I would say a grip 100% covered in grip tape or silicon carbide of some sort, another option would be the cheese grater ones the CZC sells both would keep them firm in your hand.

As far as the thin aluminum ones goes the DAA thin grips are more aggressive then the plain CZC or CGW ones.

why not get FUNCTIONAL grips for use and pretty grips to show off?

I found the rubber style works better for dirty/sweaty hands.

Haha, because I don't have money to get two pairs of grips. I'd rather put that money towards upgrades too! It's only going to be for the range.

Sounds good. Guess I'll probably go with either the DAA or OEM rubbers!

Do you know if the thin and thick DAA aluminum grips have the same aggressiveness ThompsonCustom?

Ya the only difference is the thickness, like I said there are more aggressive ones out there like the cheese graters, scales, silicon carbide but if its a carry gun the DAA are a good compromise between aggressiveness and carry.

An option to try that's cheap and very functional is grip tape for the range/comp..
Works well for sweaty hands.  For comp. Pro-Grip will really dry your hands for an hour or so.

The cocobolos are slippery IMO . The factory rubber ones are very good. You can also find aggresive checker aluminum grips from CZCUSTOM

Another vote for the factory rubber. I recently ordered a stainless 75B and even before it arrived I was making plans to buy some VZ grips. But once I got the pistol in hand and shot it with the stock rubber I realized these are great grips and dropped my plan to order the VZs. I'm not sure how well they hold up with use, but they are cheap enough that if I have to buy a new set every few years it's no big deal.
