Dry fire with an FPB model
« on: March 16, 2016, 07:16:25 AM »
I have broken a TRS in dry fire, and I have broken a firing pin retaining pin in dryfire.  I now have the Cajun bits and use O rings.  Obviously the TRS will get swapped annually/ semi annually.  I am still pretty new to the CZ game, I dry fire 4-5 days a week for 20+ minutes so my question is does anyone have a gun they have used for years at this point with a FPB and extensive dryfire?

I just use the O-ring.  I also put a drop of oil on my TRS every week, 8000 rounds fired and who knows how many thousands of dry fire pulls.  Have not changed the TRS yet.

i have 2 75b's that I dryfired extensively with for 2 years. I put an o-ring under the hammer just to make it quieter.

I have a 75B that has untold numbers of dry fires and over 70k rounds going on 10 years now. I used just a snap cap until a few years ago, now I use an o-ring. I have replaced the TRS one time, a few years ago, just because.  I have kept the TRS oiled as stated above. All that has broken for me is the FPB lifter, and that was my fault for not putting it in correctly, one time.  Before a big match.. and not having a spare...   :P

Do you oil where the long leg meets the frame or the coil?
